Design process
The Water’s Breeze freestanding bath will immediately elevate the space from the dated built-in tubs typical of that era. Replacing the vanity with The Bathroom Furniture Company Vanity Unit paired with the sleek Silestone top and Villeroy & Boch undermount basin creates a much more sophisticated, contemporary look.
The wall-hung Venticello WC is a dramatic improvement over the standard floor-mounted toilet, making the bathroom appear more spacious and much easier to clean around.
The Burlington Wall Lights add a refined touch compared to the harsh overhead lighting or dated sconces that were common in that period.
Perhaps the most transformative element will be replacing those classic 70s tiles with the Villeroy & Boch MarmoChic marble-effect tiles, bringing a timeless luxury that completely reimagines the space.
This collection completely addresses the design challenges of a 1970s bathroom, eliminating the dated colors, improving functionality, and creating a much more open, bright, and sophisticated space.
