Contemporary Stone & Oak Sanctuary: A Masterclass in Texture
This bespoke installation by our team at Bathroom Studio in Doncaster showcases how contrasting textures can create a harmonious, high-end retreat. The design is centered around the stunning Villeroy & Boch Subway 3.0 Furniture in Stone Oak. This finish brings a rich, tactile warmth to the room, perfectly offsetting the large-format tiling and the cool glass of the Flair shower screen. By selecting the Villeroy & Boch Architectura wall-hung pan and seat, supported by the ultra-reliable ViConnect Frame and flush plate, we’ve acheived a clean, “floating” aesthetic that makes the floor appear continuous and easy to maintain.
Every detail in this project was chosen to enhance the sensory experience. The HiB Globe mirror provides a halo of ambient light, softening the architectural lines of the Vado brassware and reflecting the subtle shimmer of the shower area. To ensure the space remains as cosy as it is stylish, we integrated the Tender Claro Radiator in Quartz Brown. This choice moves away from standard chrome, opting instead for a textured earth tone that ties the entire colour palette together. From the precision of the Villeroy & Boch Sanitaryware to the atmospheric lighting, this project represents the pinnacle of modern bathroom design available at our bathroom showroom on Wheatley Hall Road.
The Evolution of the Modern Wetroom
The trend toward “zonal” bathroom design is perfectly captured in this latest transformation. By utlising a low-profile shower tray and a minimalist Flair Screen, we’ve created a walk-in experience that feels integrated rather than enclosed. The use of Vado brassware throughout ensures a consistent design language, where the chrome finishes act as bright accents against the matte, organic backdrop of the wall finishes. This project highlights our ability to mix different brands – combining the structural excellence of Villeroy & Boch with decorative flair of HiB – to create a space that is entirely unique to the homeowner.
One of the standout features in this bathroom install is the deliberate choice of the Tender Claro Radiator in Quartz Brown. In many bathrooms, the radiator is an afterthought; here, it is a design statement. The Quartz Brown finish echoes the natural stone tones of the tile, ensuring that even the functional heading elements contribute to the room’s aesthetic. Coupled with the soft illumination from the HiB Globe mirror, the bathroom transforms from a bright, functional space during the day to a warm, glowing spa-like environment in the evening.
